I saw this and immediately pictured a wedding in the fields of some farm in New England. Acoustic guitars strumming, blankets littered on the grass while loved ones watch her get married. Kids with flowers in their hair running through the grass. Fire at night and their friends surrounding them with laughter and love with fire flies guiding the way.
What a cool wedding that would be.
Memorial Day Weekend was such a great time. We had a packed weekend and the kids were exhausted by the end of it.
We went to my cousins’ Steve and Heidi’s brand new home for a birthday gathering for my Uncle. Heidi had such an adorable set up inside the sun porch. I love all the pops of color.
The girls worked on Ariel Is Brave posters, the kids played, and the pool was a hit. We laughed and just enjoyed each other’s company. I love my family.
The next day we hit the beach. We rode our bikes, had some ice cream and went to the amusement park there.
This is my favorite picture of the weekend. I am so happy I was able to capture Miss F leaning on her elbows watching the surf. How I love this little girl.

Now that the the summer months are knocking on our door, I am thinking outdoor living. I used to crowd our porches with planters. But right around July, I would get sick of watering all the flowers. Before my kids, it was easy, but now with three, I really don’t have the time or memory to water them. So the last few years I started to deplete the planters. I am down to 6, and 4 of them are ferns. If that isn’t low maintenance I don’t know what is. But, I love the look of planters with flowers greeting the homeowners’ home. Some of these caught my eye.
