Viceroy

I love when we go to new places for inspiration. When we stayed in California, we were truly all over the place. We stayed at the Hilton in Anaheim, then ventured to Venice to stay at a townhouse I rented for the week. It was a dump. DUMP plus the safety of the actual place was terrible.  So we packed our bags and managed to get the very last room at the Loews in Santa Monica for one night on the 4th of July. Pure luck or just a lot of stuff on my mind, I had made a reservation at the Viceroy months prior and forgot to cancel the reservation. So off we moved to the Viceroy for the last 6 days of our trip. That was a blessing and seriously an amazingly beautiful place to stay.

Part of the lobby at the Viceroy. Pops of green everywhere.

Marble entry greeting guests into the suites. Definitely my bathroom inspiration for the new home.

Barn Style door meet pocket door. I am totally taking this idea and running with it.

St. John

So back in April we went to St. John. It isn’t an easy to jaunt to actually get there, but once you do, it is paradise. I love the windy roads, coral beaches, warm water, slow living and breezes off the water. The kids loved being there. I know when they dipped their toes back in our ocean they were highly disappointed.

S loved the water. He was thrilled looking at all the fish and splashing around. I didn’t think I would get him out at the end of each day.

We rented a home  on the cliffs. This is what we woke up to every morning. It was breathtaking. How I miss it.

One night, we could actually see the storm clouds in the distance. I have never seen rain fall from a cloud like that before.

This photo truly captures the personalities of each of my children. I cannot tell you enough how much I love them.

All of the reptiles, animals and birds that were on that island was a kicker. One night we had a lizard and a deer on the property.

Until we meet again.

A Look at Easter

Well, our vacation was just what it was supposed to be. Relaxing and fun. We spent Easter morning with our friends who hosted an Easter Breakfast. Delicious.

The rest of the day pretty much consisted of sitting by the pool, eating good food, and yummy ice cream, and trying to get back on my feet. Being under the weather since November, it was refreshing to say the least. I am still not on my feet, but getting away from reality was very much needed.

Here are some snapshots of our Easter in Boca.

The kids had a blast searching for their Easter Eggs in a new location. All the nooks and crannies of the rental home were fun for them to explore.

S loved the pool. He was in there all day and night. The pool had these neon lights that you could turn on at night. The kids thought that was amazing.

Trying to get a picture of Miss P in mid air while she jumped into the pool was nearly impossible. I have about 50 of these splash pictures. She thinks they are cool.

On our afternoon walk, we came across this tree. The trunk was something we have never seen before. It looked like a sculpture.

Easter 2012 was relaxing and chill.  I hope you had a fabulous Easter with your friends and families.
